You should also be persistent in seeking out unique or unexpected scholarship sources. Sometimes all it takes to get a scholarship is to find out who in your area is offering them. Your church, employer, parents’ employers, and local civic organizations are all good resources for finding scholarships. These scholarships are less competitive because the pool of applicants is smaller. Who knows, they may be trying to find a student just like you!
